This new all-girls golf academy will target girls from age 11 - 16 or those graduating from 5th grade going in to middle school and those graduating middle school going in to high school in the fall of 2013.  Girls age 8 - 10 are also welcome.  Some golf knowledge is preferred but beginners are also welcome.  Activities will range from lessons to fun playing events to special speakers.

   2013 - Twin Pines Junior Golf Program - BEGINNERS                                   

June 11 - July 10, 2013: Five week program  (REGISTRATION BEGINS APRIL 1)
Location: Twin Pines Golf Course
Cost: $50 per student
Tuesdays (June 11, 18, 25, July 2 & 9): one hour lesson; choose from the following-
8:30 am - 9:30 am
10:00 am - 11:00 am
11:30 am - 12:30 pm
Maximum 80 students per session...no more than 8:1 students/instructor ratio. 

Lesson make-up day if called for rain/storms: July 16.  Golf course play make-up day if called for rain/storms: July 17.
 

Wednesdays (June 12, 19, 26, July 3 & 10) are set aside for juniors to play either 3 holes, 6 holes or 9 holes of golf, dependent on their age and ability. Learn golf etiquette, basic swing fundamentals, chipping, putting, safety rules and rules of golf. Call 286-5583 to register your junior golfer.

LOANER CLUBS FOR LESSONS & WEDNESDAY PLAY DAYS ARE PROVIDED THROUGH THE STICKS FOR KIDS GRANT FUNDING.

Specifically designed for the junior golfers who can play nine holes on their own. Camp will help to enhance personal golf skills through personal instruction and playing lessons. Take your junior golfers' game to the next level.

Ellis, Gardner, Jones and Twin Pines golf courses are Certified Get Golf Ready Facilities - by Play Golf America and PGA of America initiative.

Beginning golf classes: Fee is $99 per STUDENT which includes a punch pass for four (4) - 9 hole golf rounds at any of our golf facilities(valued at an additional $64.00) to be played during the 2013 golf season. Student to instructor ratio of 8:1.

Intermediate & specialty golf classes: Fee is $139 per STUDENT which includes divot tool and set of training/alignment sticks for practice purposes.  Student to instructor ratio is 8:1.

Cedar Rapids Golf was a 2009 recipient of the National Recreation & Parks Association Sticks for Kids grant. Grant funded golf clubs will be used for the summer junior golf program at Twin Pines to enhance the learning experience of area junior golfers.
